Annapurna Circuit Trek Many trekkers have a dream to cross the Thorong La Pass (5416m, 17,769 ft) of the Annapurna Circuit Trek, It is an adventurous trip to the Annapurna region and is for experienced trekkers in good condition.  The trek begins from the sub-tropical greenery zone of the Marshyangdi River Valley. The higher you trek the more you experience fabulous scenery. Before crossing the challenging Thorong pass, you trek over the steep, rugged trail where our expert guides will help with your acclimatization process. From the Thorong pass, stunning views of towering Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, Himchuli, Manaslu occur. Pisang and Manang villages are typical Tibetan Buddhist villages and you will experience their culture and traditional lifestyles. Soon, you pass the trans-Himalayan region and descend to Muktinath with an awe-inspiring change in geography. The landscape is stark and rugged, like the Tibetan Plateau and is dominated by Buddhist villages with monasteries and prayer flags fluttering along the way. Walking through the Kali Gandaki River Valley, you reach to Kagbeni and continue to Jomsom.

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival and Check-in to the Hotel

There will be a warm welcome to you on Nepal after landing your flight at TIA. Representative of Shiva Excursion Pvt. Ltd. will there for your arrival. He/she will shift you toward your place of accommodation. After having rest for some time there will a brief description of the upcoming program with your guide.

Day 02:  Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour

Our today’s day is spent by sightseeing all around Kathmandu Valley. Having a breakfast we will visit Pashupatinath (regarded as the holiest temple of Lord Shiva). Next will be Bauddhanath (Little Tibet). Then Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) is our next destination.  Lastly we will drive to Kathmandu (Basantpur) Durbar Square. It will end our Kathmandu tour we will return back & make preparation for our trekking.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu Besishahar (830m) – 7 Hours

With a drive of 5 to 6 hours to Besisahar we will start our trekking. Roadside houses in the corner of wide forest are so much entertaining journey. Our lunch will be in the way. On reaching Besisahar we will rest for few times and explore around the beautiful valley. Finishing our visit we will be back for our night.

Day 04: Besishahar to Bahundanda (1310m) – 5 Hours

Our first walk of trek leads us to Bahundanda. We can take a short drive up to Bhulbhule. We will follow the main trial of Marshyangdi River. We can catch all the magic moments of trekking which are seen in first walking trek. After walking for about 4 to 5 hours we will reach Bahundanda for our night.

Day 05: Bahundanda to Chamje (1400m) – 5 Hours

Continuing our journey our next destination is Chamje. The main trial of Marshyangdi River is our walking path. Annapurna Himal, Lamjung Himal with other mountain ranges will be fist glimpses of our trek. Including this the traditional & cultural village is very interesting. Lastly we will be at Chamje for our night.

Day 06: Chamje to Bagarchhap (2160m) – 5 Hours

We need to walk upward which is difficult for us. Crossing a suspension bridge our way goes down to river. We will continue through track of Tal. We walk to Dharapani. Resting for some time we again start our walk to Bagarchhap (village surrounded by apple Orchids & maize fields) for our night.  

Day 07: Bagarchhap to Chame (2630m) – 5 Hours

Having breakfast in early morning we will continue our journey to Chame. The main trial of Marshyangdi River is our walking path. Glimpses of mountain ranges in our way will be so much impressive. Walking slowly on the beauty of nature we will unknowingly be at Chame for our night.

Day 08: Chame to Pisang (3300m) – 5 Hours

Early morning glorious view of sparkling mountains in rising sun will impress us so much. Walking slowly we will resume our remaining journey toward Pisang. Our way is full of beauty of nature combined with panoramic view of Pisang peak in north east. It will be a memorable night spending on Pisang.

Day 09: Pisang to Manang (3540m) – 5 Hours

Waking up early morning we will have a breakfast on side of beautiful pisang peak. Finishing this we will continue toward Manang (beautiful barren land). Today we will observe distinct landscapes and vegetation of this place. Walking for about 5 to 6 hours we will be at Manang valley. In the remaining time we will explore Manang valley.

Day 10: Acclimatization at Manang

It is our rest taking day. We will spend our whole day exploring about the beautiful manang valley. The magnificent sights around village will be so much impressive. Exploring the absolutely gorgeous Manang Valley with the lifestyle of people living in their own culture will spend our whole day in very interesting way.

Day 11: Manang to Yak Kharka (4000m) – 5 Hours

With a good rest at manang we will continue our journey to Yak Kharka. We will climb steadily through Tenki Manang. From here we will leave Marsyangdi Valley & continue to Jarsang Khola valley. Finally we will Yak Kharka which will offer us the herds of yaks & vegetation thinning out.

Day 12: Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4450m) – Hours

From Yak Kharka, we will hike to Thorong Phedi. We may need to walk on the snowy path to reach Thorong Phedi. We can see the beautiful valley from the height all around us. It will be so much interesting to spend some time. After that we will reach Thorong Phedi and we will spend our cool night.

Day 13: Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3800m) via Thorong La Pass (5416m) – 8 Hours

Today is also main day of our trekking as we are heading to Muktinath (holy pilgrimage of hindu & Buddhist people). The cool air blown us will refresh our mind in our whole walk. We may have difficult as we need to walk on storm trial. We need to walk on land of fully covered sand to reach Muktinath for night.

Day 14: Muktinath to Marpha (2670m) – 6 Hours

Leaving Muktinath, we will descend to Marpha village (home to the legendary apple orchids). Our main walking trial will be from Kaligandaki Valley. It is also given the name of Apple capital of Nepal. Reaching on Marpha we will have Apple Brandy (another local specialty). We need to be lucky enough.

Day 15: Marpha to Ghasa (2010m) – 6 Hours

Ghasa is our next walking destination. It is going to be an easy walk. Our main walking trial is the beautiful forest of rhododendron. Lastly we will reach beautiful Ghasa village. In the remaining time we will roam around the beautiful area. Lastly we will be back to our place for our accommodation.

Day 16: Ghasa to Tatopani (1190m) – 5 Hours

Our today’s destination is Tatopani. We will continue our trail towards forest of rhododendron and bamboo to reach Tatopani. Relaxing our self we will enjoy the natural hot spring water. We will become fresh and have our. Talking some time about whole trip we will go for sleep.

Day 17: Tatopani to Ghorepani (2810m) – 7 Hours

Waking up we will have breakfast and again make preparation for walking. Today our destination will be Ghorepani. We will walk through the main route of Swanta. Our trekking route is interesting by the fellow trekkers. Resting after lunch we will walk about 3 hours to reach Ghorepani for night.

Day 18: Hike to Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1570m) – 5 Hours

Today we will wake a bit early and start our hiking toward Poon Hill (one of the best view point in Annapurna region). We will be offered with the many mountain ranges. For memory we can take a picture in camera. Spending about an hour we will return back to Ghorepani. We will have our breakfast and continue our walk to next destination Tikhedhunga.

Day 19: Tikhedhunga to Nayapul (1010m) – 3 Hours and Drive to Pokhara – 1 Hour

Our today’s walk will be the last walk of our trek. We will walk through the main trial of meadows and cultivated fields. We will cross many old villages overlooking the quite pleasant views of great mountains. After reaching Nayapul we will make preparation for returning back on Pokhara.

Day 20: Pokhara to Kathmandu

We need return back to Kathmandu. We will return back through the same highway. We will be pleased with houses and greenery of highway. Our lunch will be in the highway under the beauty of nature. Driving around seven hours we will be at Kathmandu. We will be shifted toward our hotel which will end our trekking.

Day 21: Farewell

Spending a rest night at Kathmandu, it’s a time for returning back to your home land. There will be a small farewell program for you. You will be guided all the things of returning journey by our team for your departure. Hope you will be back to Nepal to visit the remaining side of beautiful Nepal.
