Arun Valley Trekking is the beautiful trekking destinations of Nepal. It is enriched in natural beauty with cultural heritage. Makalu trekking region is its location. Our main attractions of Arun valley trek are the superb scene of Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Amadablam, Mt.Thamserku with many more beautiful mountains. Walking on dense forest we will able to view it. In forests, we will be provided with different species of birds and animals. It is the home for more than 650 species of birds and 800 species of butterfly. Beautiful incense from sweet flowers smelled will attract us. Arun valley is located between Everest and Makalu.

We will start our Arun Valley Trekking from Tumlingtar. Walking in the area of forest we will achieve our destination. We will be offered with the view of some rare plants and animals. This area is a marvellous diversity of cultural and natural aspects. Our inspiration should be better trekking with good stamina. We will be following the main trail from Tumlingtar and we reach Bhotebas, Jimmigoan, Walung, Nurbuchoar Taklung, Pekhuwa and many other beautiful places for our nights. Here we will have interaction with Sherpa and Tamang community. We can explore the culture & tradition of them. In this way, we will complete our whole trekking destination. Then we will return back to Kathmandu.

Arun Valley Trekking is long day walking trek. It is a bit difficult to walk in the zigzag narrow trial. It will give us an experience of adventurous activity. Trekking over here is suitable in the month of March, April, May, September, October, November, and December. If you are planning to do trekking in Arun Valley, and you are having a problem with finding a better place. Without any hesitation just have a link with Shiva Excursion Pvt. Ltd. Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu

There will be a warm welcome to you on Nepal after landing your flight at TIA. Representative of Shiva Excursion Pvt. Ltd. will there for your arrival. He/she will shift you toward your place of accommodation. After having rest for some time there will a brief description of the upcoming program with your guide.

Day 02: Kathmandu exploration and preparation for trek.

Our today’s day is spent by sightseeing all around Kathmandu Valley. Having a breakfast we will visit Pashupatinath (regarded as the holiest temple of Lord Shiva). Next will be Bauddhanath (Little Tibet). Then Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) is our next destination.  Lastly we will drive to Kathmandu (Basantpur) Durbar Square. It will end our Kathmandu tour we will return back & make preparation for our trekking.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Tumlingtar

Early morning enjoying breakfast at Kathmandu, we will move to airport to fly over Tumlingtar. Our flight will be undistributed for hours. We will be offered with glorious mountainous views with greenery hills. Arrival on Tumlingtar we will shift in hotel. Then we can explore about it in the remaining time.

Day 03: Tumlingtar to Bhotebas

Process of real trekking starts from Tumlingtar. Our trek will be further to Bhotebas at 1600 m. Our phenomenon in trekking routs goes for about 6 hours. In this period of time we will be enjoyed with natural beauty of surrounding places. In this process we will be at Bhotebas for our rest night.

Day 04: Bhotebas to Num

Having a breakfast we will resume our journey to num. We need to pass from many ridges. It may be a bit difficult in walking but we will be gifted with the spectacular view of Makalu Mountain in the northern part. Walking few hours we will reach Mure for lunch. Resting for some time we will continue walking to Mure for our night.

Day 05: Num to Jimmigoan

Our today’s trekking route is little bit tiresome & strenuous. Leaving the main trail, we descend to Arun valley. The phenomenal goes for about 1 to 2 hours in a thick jungle. Crossing river we need to climb to other side to Jimmigoan. Walking on non trekking route, we will see only very few number of trekkers.

Day 06: Jimmigoan to Nurbuchoar

From Jimmigoan we will continue to Nurbuchoar. Today also we enter in non trekking route of this region. Continuing our further way we enter to Makalu Barun national park. The main trail will leads us to Nurbuchoar where surrounding is tranquil and we can take rest for night after a backbreaking walk for about 8 hours.

Day 07: Nurbuchoar to Taklung

Early morning having a breakfast we will be ready to walk steep hills to reach Taklung. Reaching on ridge we will be separate from Iswa and Apsua River. The beautiful sceneries of area are so much fabulous from the height. Walking without stopping on pasturelands we will reach Taklung for our night.

Day 08: Taklung to Daware Phuk

Waking up early morning we will be ready for Daware Phuk with our breakfast. Viewing spectacular view of Chamlang we will continue our walk. We will reach south ridge. Until we reach at Daware Phuk we will not stop. Here we need to set our camp our self. We will enjoy the self made night.

Day 09: Return back to Taklung

For more exploration we can accumulate our self one day in Daware Phuk. But the real trekkers always support at return back to Taklung. We need to walk through the same track. It makes easier in walking as we all know the track. Here again we will to set our camp our self and enjoy the self made night.

Day 10: Taklung to Walung

Having breakfast we will continue our walk to Walung. It will be our long walk on long returning journey while descending through main trail of Arun valley to Walung. Walung’s monastery and Gompa is certainly enjoyed. We will have a warm welcome from villagers at Walung where we will spend our overnight.

Day 11: Walung to Pekhuwa

From Walung, we will continue our returning journey. We follow western side of Arun valley. We will be offered with many beautiful glances throughout way. We can’t meet any other fellow trekkers in this area. Walking for about 7 hours we will be at Pekhuwa for resting our self for a tired body.

Day 12: Pekhuwa to Riverside camp

Early morning having a breakfast, we trek to riverside camp. Our way goes to Arun River. We will be walking sometimes up & sometimes down. Without stopping our night we will finally reach at riverside camp of Sankhuwa River for our cool night. This river is also known as a tributary of Arun River.

Day13: Riverside camp to Chewa Beshi

Spending a cool night at bank of riverside camp, we will continue our journey to Chewa Beshi. We will be walking on farmed and forested terrain. Continuing our way we again follow river to Chewa Besi. Lastly with a long walk we will at Chewa Besi to spend our delightful night with our group in camp.

Day14: Chewa Beshi to Tumlingtar and to Kathmandu

From Chewa Besi, we need to walk a short distance to Tumlingtar. Then we will have our lunch and catch flight from Tumlingtar to Kathmandu. We will leave the picture of Arun valley behind us and fly towards Kathmandu. We will be shifted to our hotel. And we will spend our remaining time by shopping.

Day15: Farewell

Spending a rest night at Kathmandu, it’s a time for returning back to your home land. There will be a small farewell program for you. You will be guided all the things of returning journey by our team for your departure. Hope you will be back to Nepal to visit the remaining side of beautiful Nepal.

  • All Airports pick up and drop.
  • 3 nights your standard hotel in Kathmandu with breakfast.

  • Accommodation during trek
  • All 3 meals per day during the trek [B+L+D] 
  • An experienced English-speaking trekking guide, assistant trek guide as per bigger size of group of trekkers: (2 trekkers:1 porter) including their salary, insurance, equipment, food and lodging
  • Down jacket, sleeping bag And  duffel bag  (down jacket and sleeping bag are to be returned after trip completion)
