Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek route is included in the typical trekking route. It was first used by Edmund Hillary & Tenzing Norgay Sherpa in 1953. The route includes views of the natural beauty of mountains ranges with forests and other types of vegetation. Trails wind through many villages, some of which will be the overnight stay destinations.  There will be ample opportunities for interaction with local people to learn about their traditions and cultures.

Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek begins in Jiri, and walking will be on narrow, “roller coaster” (up and down) trails. Every day, the route leads to higher altitudes, and the temperatures will steadily become much cooler.  Acclimatization will occur in different locations as directed by our trekking experts. Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel

There will be a warm welcome to you on Nepal after landing your flight at TIA. Representative of Shiva Excursion Pvt. Ltd. will there for your arrival. He/she will shift you toward your place of accommodation. After having rest for some time there will a brief description of the upcoming program with your guide.

Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley

Our today’s day is spent by sightseeing all around Kathmandu Valley. Having a breakfast we will visit Pashupatinath (regarded as the holiest temple of Lord Shiva). Next will be Bauddhanath (Little Tibet). Then Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) is our next destination.  Lastly we will drive to Kathmandu (Basantpur) Durbar Square. It will end our Kathmandu tour we will return back & make preparation for our trekking.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Bhandar via Jiri (1905m) – 8 Hours

Early morning, we will drive to Jiri. It is just 187 kilometers north east of Kathmandu valley. On reaching jiri we will drive to Bhandar. It is a starting point of our trek. During our drive we will be enjoyed with the panoramic views of Himalayas & Koshi River. Our night will be cool at one of the tea houses.

Day 04: Bhandar to Sete (2575m) – 7 Hours

From Bhandar we will start our real trekking. It will be easy walk for us as we will descend down through deep forests crossing few streams. We will pass through the small settlements of Dokharpa and Baranda. Then we will climb forests down to Surma Khola. We will reach sete for our night.

Day 05: Sete to Junbesi (2670m) – 7 Hours

We were tired as we walk a long distance in first day. There again may difficulty in walking as we need to climb Lamjura La passing. Crossing this pass we will pass by villages of Dagchu and Goyem. Then lastly we will descend down to Tragdobuk and then to Junbeshi for staying our night.

Day 06: Junbesi to Nunthala (2220m) – 6 Hours

Today we may have an easy walk to Nunthala. We will climb up to forest slope. From the walking track we will have overlooking of the glorious views of giant mountains ranges. In this way we will certainly reach to Nunthala. On reaching Nunthala we will have short explore around the valley and return back to our place for our night.

Day 07: Nunthala to Bupsa (2360m) – 6 Hours

On walking we will be at higher and higher altitude day by day. Our destination is Bupsa. Our walking trial goes through Dudh Koshi. We need to cross suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River to continue our walk. We will reach Jubing and continue straight walk to Churkha. Like this we will reach Bupsa for our night.

Day 08: Bupsa to Surke (2290m) – 6 Hours

Having a breakfast we will continue our walk to Surke. We need to climb uphill from Kharte. We will also cross Khari La Pass. We will get opportunity to enjoy the glorious views of Khari La Pass of Gyachung Kang & Khumbila Mountains among others. Continuing slowly we will be at surke for our night.

Day 09: Surke to Phakding (2610m) – 5 Hours

Continuing our journey our today’s destination is Phakding. We need to walk through Chaurikharka. Resuming our journey we will climb to Chhiplung. Resting for some we will walk again down to Phakding. Reaching on Phakding we will visit the valley and return back to our place for our night.

Day 10: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) – 6 Hours

After having breakfast we continue our journey to Namche Bazaar. Following the main trial of Dudh Koshi River we will enter the area of Sagarmatha national park. Continuing our journey for about 5 to 6 hours finally we will be able to reach Namche bazzar for spending our memorable night.

Day 11: Acclimatization at Namche

Today is our rest day at Namche Bazaar. We need to accumulate our self for matching climatic condition of surrounding. In our leisure time we will visit several places around places over Namche bazaar. Knowledge of tradition & culture of local people of Namche Bazaar is very interesting in getting.

Day 12: Namche to Tyangboche (3870m) – 6 Hours

Accumulating our self with weather at Namche Bazaar Tengboche 3800m is our next walking destination. Quite close magnificent view of beautiful ranges of mountain will impress us in our journey. Playing on the nature unknowingly we will reach Tengboche for our night.

Day 13: Tyangboche to Dingboche (4360m) – 6 Hours

From Tengboche our next destination is Dingboche. Zigzag trial will be our main walking path. Mountain ranges are very close and are very impressive. We will rest in several view point. For memory we can take picture and capture with us. In this way we will lastly we will be at Dingboche for our night.

Day 14: Dingboche to Dughla (4600m) – 4 Hours

From Dingboche, we ascend down to Dughla. Our walking track will be through the valley of Khumbu Khola along arid terraces with awesome mountain views of surrounding. First of all we will reach Dusa & to Phulung Karpo. Resting some time we will continue our journey to Dughla for our night.

Day 15: Dughla to Lobuche (4940m) – 3 Hours

Early morning glorious view of sparkling mountains in rising sun will impress us so much. Walking slowly we will resume our remaining journey toward Lobuche. Our way is full of beauty of nature combined with panoramic view of high mountain ranges. It will be a memorable night spending on lobuche.

Day 16: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5170m) to EBC (5364m) and back to Gorakshep – 8 Hours

Today is the day of fulfilling our program. We will climb up to Everest base camp. It will be a long climb as we need to return back to Gorakshep. Without stopping we will continue until we reach base camp. On reaching on top we will be offered with panoramic view all around us. Spending our few precious time it will be time of our returning Journey. For memory we will capture picture in our camera. Lastly we will return back & spend a relaxing night at land of Himalayas.

Day 17: Gorakshep to Kalapatthar (5545m) to Pheriche (4280m) – 8 Hours

It will be as if we are resting after succession of trek. We will hike up to Kalapattar and trek down to Pheriche. Spending our some of the precious time we need to return back to our place. We will spend our whole day sightseeing around the places. Lastly we will be back to our place for spending our night.

Day 18: Pheriche to Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m) – 6 Hours

It is our returning journey it will be so much easy in walking. We just need to trek downward following the main trial to reach Namche Bazaar. The same beauty of nature with mountain ranges from different angel will be so much impressive. Continuing in downhill track we will reach Namche Bazar.

Day 19: Namche to Lukla (2800m) – 7 Hours

Our today’s walk will be the last walk of our climb. We will walk through the main trial of Dudh Koshi River. We will be at Sagarmatha National Park. On reaching Lukla we will make confirmation of our tomorrow’s flight to Kathmandu and rest the remaining time.

Day 20: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

We will have early morning flight toward Kathmandu. It will be about 1 Hr. in one hour duration we will feel as if we are flying in heaven. We will be flying above the beautiful ranges of mountains. Lastly we will be shifted toward our hotel for our night and make preparation for tomorrow’s flight.

Day 20: Farewell

Spending a rest night at Kathmandu, it’s a time for returning back to your home land. There will be a small farewell program for you. You will be guided all the things of returning journey by our team for your departure. Hope you will be back to Nepal to visit the remaining side of beautiful Nepal.
