Overview
There are numbers of trekking destination in Nepal for the beginner trekkers. Khopra is one of the most suitable trekking destinations for the people who don’t know much about the trekking. An easy trek is suitable for beginner and family group with children. The trek starts from the Nayapul which is the starting point for Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Ghorepani Poonhill Trek too. Khopra trek provides you an opportunity to observe and experience the Gurung, Chettri, Magar, and other culture and traditions. A close view of Annapurna Himalayan range, Dhaulagiri Himalayan range, Nilgiri, Mardi Himal, and many more snow-capped mountains is unprecedented. A green forest, farming land, yaks pasture, landscape, etc are the additional pleasure of the Khopra Danda trek.
Khopra Trek is one of the newest trekking trails around Annapurna region. The teahouses on the trail provide the basic facility needed for trekkers. The trails are easy to trekking and the maximum altitude is 3640m. If you want to make the trip bit more adventurous then you can make an extra day to hike to Kahyer Lake. Khopra Danda for sunset and Poonhill for sunrise are probably the best point at Annapurna Region.
Best Season:
March, April, May is a good time for trekking in an autumn season where In the Monsoon (June, July, and August) rain interrupt. September, October, November, and early December are known as good months for the trekking in every reason of Nepal. From late December it will start to snow in the region until February.

Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu:
The representative of Shiva Excursion Pvt. Ltd will be at the airport to welcome you to Nepal. He/she will transfer you to the hotel as we mentioned before on our agreement. We will discuss the trip and prepare everything for tomorrow.
Day 02: Kathmandu – Pokhara:
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will walk to the Tourist bus park to get the Bus. It will take around 7 hours to reach the Pokhara by Bus. On the way, you will see beautiful villages, landscape, rivers, and etc. Pokhara is a naturally rich city. A beautiful mountain view and lake on a side allure everyone.
Day 03: Pokhara – Nayapul – Ghandruk:
We will have breakfast at the hotel and take a jeep/car to get the Nayapul, which is our trekking starting point. From Nayapul we start to trek via Birethanti, Syaulibazzar and climb to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is the largest Gurung village on Annapurna Region.
Day 04: Ghandruk – Tadapani:
We will start to climb up again through the forest. The trail is perfect for the trekkers who are interested in flora and fauna. We have chances to see the monkey, deers, and other wildlife during the trek. We will have lunch at Bhaisi Kharka and start to climb up again to reachTtadapani. From Tadapani you can see close view of Annapurna South, Himchuli, and Fishtail.
Day 05: Tadapani – Dobato:
There are different destinations (Annapurna Base Camp, Ghorepani. Dobato, etc) you can go from Tadapani. We will move towards to Dobato which is less popular in comparison to other destination. You will find a quiet and peaceful environment during the trek. The gorgeous glimpse of Annapurna ranges helps you to reduce your tiredness.
Day 06: Dobato – Khopra Danda:
For the first few hours we will trek through the Jungle and we will found the empty land as we climb high. Khopra is the main destination of our trek. We can see yak pasture, beautiful sunset view, and magnificent Himalayan ranges from Khopra Danda.
Day 07: Khopra Danda – Swanta:
After spending our precious moment with mountains and yaks, we start to trek down for Swanta. Swanta is a beautiful village lies on the opposite of Chitre. The mix of Gurung and Magar village has lots of things to see and learn.
Day 08: Swanta – Ghorepani:
Ghorepani is the short and popular destination around the Annapurna Region. You can see a number of trekkers at Ghorepani. It is the heart of the Annapurna Region. Gorgeous view of mountains, rich in culture and traditions, and easy to access make this destination choice of external as well as internal tourist.
Day 09: Ghorepani – Pokhara:
We will wake up early in the morning for the great sunrise view from Poonhill. We will hike for around 45 minutes in the early morning to catch the sunrise. After spending precious time at Poonhill, we will back to the teahouse for breakfast. We will trek down to Nayapul and take a car/jeep for one and half hour to get Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara we will spend our time to explore the city.
Day 10: Pokhara – Kathmandu – farewell:
This will be your final day in Nepal. We will take a private vehicle or flight to back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. If we will take a flight it will be 25 minutes flight and by car/jeep it will take around 6-7 hours. After reaching the Kathmandu you will be transferred to Airport as per your international flight schedule.
Note: Clients who don’t have an evening flight from Kathmandu have to stay one more night in Kathmandu. On such condition, the hotel bill has to settle by clients themselves.
