Overview

Manaslu Circuit Trekking is increasing its fame among the trekkers from different corners of the world. Due to the restricted area, the trek requires a restricted area trekking permit. This lodge (tea house) trek offers a lifetime adventurous experience. The Manaslu Circuit Trekking trek goes through the authentic ethnic village and wilderness that eventually makes a circuit via Larke pass and join the Annapurna circuit trail.

Round Manaslu Trekking was opened in 1991 as a restricted area trekking in Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP). The trek hush-up around Mt. Manaslu (8156m), which is the seventh highest peak in the world and adjoins the world’s one of the demanded trails. The foothill journey consists of the two-week itinerary that begins and heads through the Budi Gandaki valley and sweeps forward passing the hilly gorges at the lower altitude region. You need to cross numerous hanging steel bridges and walk through the terraced farms. This trail was popular in the historical salt trade with Tibet. Walking higher, from the last huddle of the homes, the villages look like the Tibetan territories that are prevailed with the colorful monasteries and Chhortens. Sama Gaon and Samdo are the representative villages for the cultural prosperity. The architectures are similar to the Tibetan communities. Heading from the base camp, you gradually ascend to the Larke La (5160m) with the exploration of panoramic views, including Mt. Manaslu and its surrounding parts of the Annapurna region.

Larke La is quite challenging. So, better to avoid winter. March to May and September to November are the best Manaslu trekking seasons. Please, contact Shiva Excursion for the perfect trek arrangements with the professional trek guides.

Note: Manaslu Conservation Area Project is a pocket zone of Snow leopard that has preserved various other wild animals. If you love to enjoy extra adventure, you can join the Tsum valley trek at the beginning or Annapurna Circuit trek after crossing the Larke pass.
