Overview

While over 5,000 peaks exist in Nepal, only a few allow peak climbing.  Mera Peak is Nepal’s highest climbing peak (6,461 m, 21,197 ft) and is one of the most alluring in Nepal as it involves a culturally rich journey through picturesque villages and forests followed by a relatively gentle climb to the summit.  Mera is climbed after a week-long period of trekking and acclimatization. The trip initiates in Kathmandu where we embark on a flight to Lukla, the entryway to the Everest region. Mera is located just 11 km south of Mt. Everest.  Our route will take us through many villages (e.g. Pangkoma, Nigmsa, Kothe, Tangnang, Khare, etc.). While climbing, you will gain great experience dealing with obstacles due to Himalayan rock & ice, and the panoramic view of the Everest region mountain ranges will be well worth the effort.   Mera Peak is a technically challenging peak and climbers should have experience using equipment like crampons & ice axes. Climbing Mera Peak is possible during the months of October, November, December, March, April, and May. Be sure to contact Shiva Excursion now for the best possible price for this exciting opportunity.  Our guides are highly experienced, and we will take care of all permits and documentation.  Please see below for more detail.
